Built in the beautiful hills of Portola Valley, this two story 5,700 square foot home over a 2,800 square foot basement has it all.  It boasts an elevate play room supported by a 30 inch diameter drilled pier, a basement batting cage, full entertainment threater, a three car garage, and a professionally finished kitchen with a commerical grade pizza oven. 

To achieve the the desired look and feel of the architect and owner we utilitzed and network of steel moment frames, steel shear panels, and conventional wood shear walls.  The foundation consists of a pier and grade beam system which incorporates more than 80 piers.

The end result is a sprawlling homestead that the whole family can enjoy.
